Laser Tracker Operators (1st and 2nd Shift)


POSITION TITLE: LASER TRACKER OPERATOR (NIGHT SHIFT)

DESCRIPTION AND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must demonstrate self-direction, capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience and proficiency using any CAD/CAM software.
  • Possess an understanding of electronic file management system and possess organizational skills.
  • Skill in reading complex blueprints, including:
    • Ability to identify and understand specifications
    • Knowledgeable in geometric tolerance (understand and recognize all symbols)
    • Thorough understanding of general tolerances
    • Comprehend sections and views
    • Understand reference systems
  • Possess highest skills in performing inspection of tooling, details and sub-assemblies using Dimensional Control Equipment. Specific equipment to include: Faro Laser Trackers, all bench inspection equipment.
  • Assist Quality Representative in Customer Buy-off process.
  • Ability to understand purpose and functionality of component being inspected.
  • Understand and work to all QMS procedures and work instructions

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
  • Verisurf v9 experience preferred, Verisurf X experience a plus.
  • 5 year minimum Quality Control experience.
  • Fixture Building


Press Brake Operator


SCOPE: Sets up and operates complex metal machines (Amada - Press Brakes) in accordance with quality/quantity standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review shop operations packets and engineering drawings to insure that incoming material to be fabricated is correct.
  • Based on production specifications and/or Team Leaders' instructions, selects and sets up tools, equipment and machines required for quality productions.
  • Reviews machine tooling requirements and plans set-up/operations to optimize flow of work through the cell/department.
  • Inspects and dimensionally checks production to insure production output meets requirements. Utilizes properly calibrated precision measuring instruments when performing inspections.
  • Makes machine/tooling adjustments to bring non-conforming out-put into specifications. Informs the Team Leader/Supervisor of any operating or material condition that would interfere with quality/quantity production.
  • Performs routine operator maintenance and operational checks on all tools and equipment utilized to include: tool sharpening, machine oiling, fluid level/air pressure checks, safety switch functioning etc.
  • Segregates and periodically disposes of scrap material into approved collection containers.
  • Maintains an accurate record of all work performed in the appropriate company format/form.
  • Maintains work area, tools, and equipment in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.

REQUIREMENTS: Ability to read and write (High School or equivalent) needed to comply with written instructions and complete departmental paperwork. Three - five years previous experience in a sheet metal fabrication facility and familiarity with metric blueprint dimensioning required.


CNC Machine Operators (3 and 5 axis)



Specific Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Self-directed. Works with minimal supervision
  • Highest level of skill in reading complex blueprints, including:
    • Ability to identify and find specifications
    • Knowledgeable in geometric tolerances (understand and recognize all symbols)
    • Thorough understanding of general tolerances
    • Comprehend sections and views
    • Understand reference system
  • Ability to plan and process a job with minimal guidance
  • Five-axis experience in necessary to perform duties.
  • Ability to identify and plan the most efficient process for machining projects.
  • Demonstrated high level experience in contour and manual machining
    • Know how to swing an indicator
    • Comprehensive understanding of 3-D contouring
    • Thorough understanding of speeds and feeds
    • Knowledge of set-up, cutting and holding techniques
    • Understanding of cusp height and cordal deviation
  • Experienced with a variety of materials including exotic metals such as invar, stainless, and P-20
  • Understanding of material properties
  • Ability to match equipment and techniques to various materials
  • Understand purpose and functionality of component being machined
  • Capable of producing like components
  • Understands electronic file management system and possesses organizational skills
  • Have own tools and precision measuring equipment per attached listing. (see Machine Tooling Requirement List)
  • Works in a most efficient manner.
  • Understand and work to all QMS procedures, objectives and work instructions
  • Ability to properly use Visual manufacturing to enable job tracking and monitoring.
  • Prefer at least 10 years machining experience
  • Must be able to achieve quality and production goals.
